Thodupuzha is considered as the gateway of High Ranges.It is included in Idukki district which is Kerala's Eden and is the largest district of Kerala having   the lowest density of population. Thommankuttu is a very beautiful  waterfall near Thodupuzha  and is named after the great hunter, Mr. Thommachen Kuruvinakunnel.It is because of him the world know of this beautiful waterfall. This panchayat, belonging toThodupuzha Taluk in Idukki District.Thommankuthu is located 18 km fromThodupuzha. Nearest town to Thommankuttu is Karimannoor which is nearly 10 km from Thommankuthu.Thommankuthu waterfall is a seven-step waterfall located in the forest. We can take a treak12 km through the forests.We feel like that all the hills are beckoning us,such an enchanting power it has.Thommankuttu is  just the right place in Kerala for the adventure seekers.

Thodupuzha-The Fast Growing city.

Thodupuzha is one of  the fast growing city in  Central Kerala. Over the last 20 years the rapid development of Thodupuzha is worthreading. It was a small junction. The present bus stand is a large one, capable of landing at least 60 buses.Thodupuzha was upgraded into a municipality and the Thodupuzha Municipality came into being on 1 September 1978. Today the Municipality has 28 wards. There is a Chairman, a Vice Chairman, and various Standing Committees to carry out the civic administration.
